Wednesday Nights

January 9 through February 13

4 Gens in 1 Room: A Generational Conversation

First Presbyterian is blessed to be a multi-generational community of faith. What blessings do we offer one another, across generational lines? From January 9 through February 13, you are invited to join the discussion in Courtenay Hall on Wednesday evenings.

Pastors from different generations will serve as moderators each week. John Musgrave (GI Generation), Stuart Gordon (Baby Boomers), and Josh Rodriguez (Generation Y) will guide the group in an interaction over the distinctive traits of our generations and what we hold in common as Christians. The aim is to strengthen our relationships across the generations while we learn more about the faith heritage we have received from earlier generations.

For discussion, we’ll use a study guide that describes the generational development of Christian beliefs about such things as the Bible, confessional understandings of God, and the shape of Christian living.

The conversation will run from 6:30 to 7:30 in Courtenay Hall. A buffet dinner is available in Courtenay Hall from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children age 3-12, free for children age 2 and under; with a $22 family maximum. Please make your reservations here.
