Relaxation, fellowship, serenity, fun, friends, family, worship, games, songs, Bible study, campfires, s’mores, streams, canoes, tradition, meditation, events, naps, ping pong and good food are all great words to describe the NaCoMe experience. This is a wonderful weekend for people of all ages and stages. There are structured activities, but also time to relax and get to know other church families. NaCoMe is also a place where kids can have a bit of freedom to roam. Sleeping arrangements are four families to a large cabin. Each family has a private room and bath with a shared common room and porch. Bedrooms have twin over full bunk beds.

Rev. Josh Rodriguez (Associate Pastor of Young Adult Ministry) will be leading our weekend sessions this year. The sessions will provide time for singing, conversations with new friends around scripture and an interactive approach to furthering our faith. Our focal scripture will be Mark 12:30-31. ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. Our theme will be based around the Enneagram. Josh will be using the book, The Road Back to You by Ian Cron. We will focus on how God uniquely made each one of us. The Enneagram is an attempt to understand who you are and in that understanding of who you, it helps you to better understand God.  Looking at ourselves and the journey that we are on helps create a roadmap of compassion for yourself and others.

So come cool off in the spring-fed creek, hunt for gold and silver, savor the homemade sweet rolls, and enjoy days reminiscent of a simpler time — no cell phones, computers, televisions, video games — just time spent rocking on the porch, visiting with friends and making memories that will last a lifetime. Register now!
