2023 Stewardship

Greetings First Presbyterian family!

In 2021 and 2022, we have seen glimpses of God’s grace and sustaining strength; and a bold determination on the part of this congregation to row hard amid what often seemed like gale-force winds. Even during the pandemic, First Presbyterian provided opportunities to gather for worship and fellowship, maintained mission and ministries, and welcomed many new faces. You all are a beautiful expression of the Body of Christ. So, let’s celebrate another year of God’s faithfulness in the life of First Presbyterian Nashville, and let us boldly and prayerfully consider how we can move forward in service to Christ and his kingdom as we begin stewardship for 2023.

Our theme, a Commitment to Christ, His Church, and His Kingdom for 2023, informs the question, how has First Presbyterian impacted your life? Stewardship can be defined as the best possible use of the resources God has blessed us with; generosity is the recognition of these blessings and giving back to a place that has given us so much.

As you reflect on your stewardship response, let us invite you to think about some of the unique strengths of First Presbyterian. First, we are bound by a shared mission that defines who we are as a congregation, what we believe, and how we live our lives to glorify Jesus Christ. Second, we are a church blessed by remarkable leadership who use their gifts to lead by serving, and who have a vision of what can be and what is needed to get us there.

Third, the impact of our ministries, outreach, and programs reaches around the block and around the world and makes a difference in profound ways. Finally, we recognize the fiscal responsibility required to be the best possible stewards of the resources God has provided each of us and that you generously contribute.

Please complete the virtual pledge form below. Beginning in mid-October, printed pledge cards will be mailed or can be found in the Sanctuary and Narthex.

The journey ahead requires your contribution and your commitment. As the body of Christ, we are stronger together, committed to Christ, his church, and his kingdom. Together, by the grace of God, we can do amazing things in 2023!

With blessings and gratitude,

Ryan Moore, Pastor
