Communications Policy

The goal of the Communications Department is to further the mission of the First Presbyterian Church of Nashville: “To know Christ, to make Him known, and to exhibit His love through worship, education and service.” In an effort to further the mission of the church, the Communications Department has established this policy in order to produce effective, timely, and quality publications and media.

First Presbyterian Church of Nashville is a growing, vibrant church with diverse and multiple ministries. The Communications Department staff desires to produce all requests and will make every effort to do so. When staff resources are unavailable, the Department will make every effort to procure a quality product from an outside vendor.

The following procedures will help manage requests made of staff while also allowing the persons requesting a project and the staff members carrying out the request to respond in budget and on time:

  • All communication requests require the completion of a Communications Request Form (see below).
  • Because of the large quantity of requests, please submit this form preferably two-weeks prior to your deadline or as soon as possible. Other deadlines are as follows:
    • First Edition deadline schedule (pdf)
    • Bulletin announcements deadline – Monday immediately prior to the Sunday bulletin
    • Parish News deadline – Tuesday immediately prior to the Wednesday Parish News
