Communities of Belonging

Our church is dedicated to fostering a stronger sense of community within our church family through our Communities of Belonging. Finding community is a crucial aspect of growing in faith, and our Communities of Belonging offer opportunities for us to form new relationships and connect beyond Sunday mornings.

Christianity Through the Ages: Key Moments That Shaped the Faith

Starting January 26 at various times and locations

This year marks the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, a cornerstone of our faith. To commemorate this significant milestone, our Communities of Belonging are embarking on a historical journey through the foundations and development of Christianity. Our exploration will begin with the apostles and continue through pivotal moments, such as the Protestant Reformation, and even touch on key events of the 20th century. Along the way, there will be opportunities to follow your own curiosities, connect historical and spiritual events, and deepen your knowledge of Christian history. Our hope is that by the end of this journey, you will have a richer understanding and greater appreciation for your faith and what it took from others to get here. Join us as we walk through the story of Christianity together for this six-week study.

To know Christ and to make Him known.

Worship with us Sunday at 8:30 or 11:00 a.m.

Founded in 1814, First Presbyterian was born by grace. We are an outpost of the kingdom, called to glorify the Triune God, to make known the crucified and risen Christ, and to advance the gospel of God’s free and redeeming grace. Whether you are a long-time member or are new to First Presbyterian, we would love to help you find ways to get more connected.
