Dr. Ryan Moore

Pastor and Head of Staff

Ryan Moore was called, by God’s grace, in October 2019 to be the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church Nashville.

Dr. Sandra Randleman

Associate Pastor for Congregational Care & Missions

Sandra Randleman has served as the Associate Pastor for Congregational Care and Discipleship since 1999. Her areas of responsibility include congregational care, support groups, and missions.

Dr. John Musgrave

Parish Associate

John has served First Presbyterian as a parish associate since 2015. He teaches the Good News Sunday School class and is active in the First Friends ministry.

Adrian Taylor

Pastoral Intern

As a Pastoral Intern at FPC, Adrian will gain valuable ministry experience as she serves our church family over her 9-month internship. Her responsibilities include assisting in worship, teaching, making home and hospital visits, and participating in committee meetings.

Sara Hill

Parish Associate

Sara has joined our staff as a Parish Associate to support the growing pastoral needs of our congregation. In addition to assisting with pastoral care, worship, and faith formation, she will serve as the pastoral liaison with Logos Sunday School class.

Church Executive

Frank A. Coyle, Esq. is the Church Executive at First Presbyterian Church of Nashville. In this role, he cares for our church’s non-ordained staff, daily operations, and strategic planning.

Lonnie J. Stout II

Clerk of Session

Lonnie Stout is currently an active Elder and serves as Clerk of Session.

Church Officers

The Session is the duly constituted council of First Presbyterian Church, Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of all teaching elders (pastors) and ruling elders in active service. The office of ruling elder and the duties and responsibilities of the Session in a Presbyterian church are patterned on the overseer of the early church. It has ultimate responsibility for all facets of the life of the church, its mission, and its government. The importance of this office is emphasized by the fact that our denomination takes its name from presbuteros, the Greek word for elder.

The Diaconate is the board of deacons of First Presbyterian Church, Nashville, consisting of all deacons in active service. The primary purpose of deacons is to serve those in need. This ministry of compassion may take many forms, but it is most directly implicated in the work of the church’s ministry and mission councils. The Diaconate serves as an advisory body to the Session, and deacons assist the ruling elders in performing many of the functions assigned to the Session.

Connections and Engagement Coordinator

Julia engages visitors and new members and fosters meaningful relationships throughout the congregation. She can answer questions about first visits, membership, and getting connected.

First Friends Ministry Coordinator

Sally oversees the First Friends Ministry where she works diligently to connect our active older adults with one another and with the church family for fellowship, service, and personal growth.

Charlotte Schierbaum

Ministry Assistant for Congregational Care

Charlotte supports congregational care, other caregiving ministries, the columbarium, and New Officer Training.

Hospitality Coordinator

On any given weekday, Jennifer is the first face you see at the Hospitality Center where she welcomes guests, directs phone calls, and serves as the first point of contact for members and guests.

Youth Ministry

Gage Arnold

Director of Youth Programming

Gage serves as the Director of Youth Programming at FPC. Gage can help answer questions about any part of the ministry to children from 12 years old until high school graduation, including questions (for children or with their grown-ups) about the faith, the church, worship service resources, any ministry-wide or church-wide major event, or the spiritual nature of youth.

Youth Program Coordinator

Ginger is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations and administrative function of the FPC Youth Ministry, working with young adults, youth, parents, staff, and volunteers.

Assistant Youth Director

Evan Benbow serves as an Assistant Youth Director, providing day-to-day leadership and support for the FPC Youth Ministry, working with young adults, youth, parents, staff, and volunteers.

Mallory Hammond

Director of Ministry with Children & Their Families

Mallory oversees the Children’s & Family ministry and the First Presbyterian Early Preschool. She is also a candidate for ordination in the PC(USA).

Shelley Eberle

Assistant Director of Faith Formation to Children

Shelley Eberle serves as the Assistant Director of Children’s Faith Formation. She develops and oversees curriculum and programming for the ministry and helps oversee the Children’s Ministry staff.

Valerie Duncan

Children’s Ministry Program Assistant

Valerie Duncan serves as the Children's Ministry Program Assistant. She prepares resources for Sunday programing, Milestones, and major Children's Ministry events, keeping things running smoothly each week.

Suzanne Di Piazza

Nursery–Kindergarten Coordinator

Suzanne serves as the Nursery-Kindergarten Coordinator where she oversees programming, volunteers, and staff who nurture and care for our youngest disciples, children ages 0-6.

Adrian Taylor

Interim Elementary Coordinator

Adrian is our Interim Elementary Coordinator. She is responsible for the nurture and care of our young disciples of Jesus Christ, 1st-6th grade.

Early Preschool

Candyee Goode

Director of the Early Preschool

Candyee is responsible for the management of the FPC Early Preschool Program, an NAEYC Accredited program. This is a weekday ministry for children ages 18 months to 5 years, serving approximately 90 students and a staff of 24. Rhonda is our Assistant Organist and Wedding Music Coordinator. She can answer questions about the organ, organ lessons, and any and all things regarding your wedding and its music.

Interim Organist and Assistant Director of Music

As Artist-in-Residence at First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, Joey grows and develops worship ministry opportunities for young musicians in the church and Oak Hill School. In this threefold position, he supports musicians, builds up the body of Christ through the arts, and acknowledges and celebrates our church's location in Music City.

Children’s Choirmaster

Kevin leads children age 4–6th grade in a worship choir that provides a caring community for the participating children while providing high-quality, inviting, and engaging choral music education for young children.

Recreation Ministry

Jen Kutzner

Director of Recreation

Jen Kutzner is FPC's new Director of Recreation. She is tasked with visioning, implementing, executing, and maintaining athletic and recreational ministry programs in a way that points to Jesus. Play is essential to our work here at FPC, and we are excited to play and work with Jen!

Dominique Jacoy

Assistant Director of Recreation

Dominique supports the visioning and implementation of recreational offerings for church members and guests. Her primary focus is on recreational offerings that include team sports, fitness, and fellowship opportunities.

Erika Shapiro

Director of Camp Watermelon Ministries

Erika is responsible for Camp Watermelon, a summer day camp program on the church campus that exposes children to the love of the Lord through play, worship, service and fun.

Haley Lutts

Recreation Coordinator

Susan Becker has joined the staff as a part-time Administrative Assistant for Worship Services. Susan will be responsible for ensuring the elements of worship are accounted for and executed professionally each week. Worship is at the heart of our church, so this job is critical to ensuring all our services are done with excellence.

Sarah Dalton

Communications Coordinator

Sarah supports the communications of First Presbyterian Church through content creation for print and digital publications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly magazines, weekly email newsletters, and the Church website. She is also responsible for managing the specific communications needs of ministry program areas as we seek to be an outpost of Christ’s kingdom.

Kim Rogers

Kim supports the programs of First Presbyterian Church of Nashville by coordinating food services to include menu planning, purchasing of food supplies, food preparation and presentation within budgetary guidelines, and maintaining kitchen inventory. She is responsible for ensuring the kitchen and storage areas are consistently maintained and cleaned to meet local health department guidelines. Stephen King

Production Manager

Stephen oversees all the audio, video, and technical components around the church, including live events, worship services, and live-streaming. Reach out to him with any questions about most things audio, video, or technical around the church.

John Dennis

Production Associate

John assists the Production Director in all church AV needs—namely sound and video for services, events, Bible studies, and meetings. Contact him if you need any assistance with recording events or hearing the sermon.

Kathy Gaston

Bookstore Manager

Finance & Stewardship

David Lewis

Interim Director of Finance

The Interim Director of Finance is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. In this role, David leads all day-to-day finance operations of the Church and supervises the Finance team with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and designated funds.

Mary Russ

Contributions and Donor Relations

Mary Russ provides essential recordkeeping and administrative support for the Finance and Resource Development teams to ensure member contributions are accurate and consistent with donor intent. She plays a vital role in managing the annual stewardship and planned giving programs.

Lipscomb Davis

Staff Accountant

Lipscomb is an Accountant, as well as an advanced MinistryPlatform user. If you have any questions about the church's finances, or anything with MinistryPlatform, give him a call!

Megan Mena

Accounting & Payroll Clerk

Megan is in charge of our accounts payable and payroll. She can answer questions about reimbursement, paying vendors or anything expense related for the church.

Donna Ellis

Interim Accounts Payable and Payroll

Donna is supporting the Finance Department while Megan Mena is on family leave. She processes invoices, transactions, and payroll and ensures checks are properly coded. Donna is the proud mother of Erin and Kaitlyn, both professional dancers, and the grandmother of Paxton, Oakley, and Serena. She finds joy in participating in Bible studies and serving in a clothing giveaway ministry alongside her friends.

Tim manages the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of facilities, buildings and grounds utilizing a combination of outside service providers and internal staff.
