Rachel Davis

As Director of Communications, Rachel is primarily responsible for a strategic, multi-faceted communications program to advance and strengthen the church’s mission. She oversees print and digital communications that reach constituencies inside and outside the Church community. She also coordinates calendar planning for all ministry areas and supports the communication needs of specific ministries. Rachel can assist with questions about email subscriptions and website questions. Officers, Committee Chairs, and church staff can submit a Communications Request using this link.

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Rachel began her time in Tennessee when she enrolled at Rhodes College in Memphis. She moved from Memphis to Nashville in 2011 and married lifelong church member Lipscomb Davis in 2012. Rachel and Lipscomb are proud parents to William Lipscomb Davis V. They are honored to bring “Lip” where four generations of Davises have worshipped, played, and learned through the ministry of First Presbyterian. She brings over 15 years of experience in communications strategy, ministry programs, print publications, and digital media and feels called to contribute these gifts to the community she loves. Rachel has been involved at FPC as a youth volunteer, a member of the Young Adult committee, and served on adult and youth mission trips. Rachel has been a part of the FPC community since her marriage to Lipscomb Davis IV in 2012 and joined the staff in November 2020.
