Suzanne is our Nursery-Kindergarten Coordinator. She oversees programming, volunteers, and paid staff who nurture and care for our youngest disciples, children ages 0-6.
She can help answer questions regarding Sunday morning programming for ages 0-6: Nursery (ages 0-3), Young Children in Worship (ages 4-6), and Sunday School (ages 4-6). She also supports weekly chapel programming in the Early Preschool.
Suzanne is a native Nashvillian and a former Marine Corps wife who “bloomed where she was planted” in AZ, CA, HI, NC, SC, and VA.
Suzanne’s passion for serving others and sharing the love of Christ, especially with children, is truly inspiring. Her journey began decades ago as a volunteer Sunday School teacher, and she has since served as the Director of Religious Formation programs. Her volunteer work has extended beyond the church, involving schools, reading programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Humane Society, the Red Cross, and other nonprofits. Her educational background includes Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI, Arizona Western College in Yuma, AZ, and St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, IN.
Her current favorite Bible verse is Micah 6:8. She most closely encounters God in Word, prayer, nature, and in the presence of children.
She is the mom of two wonderful adults and “Yaya” to five grandchildren. Suzanne lives with her spouse, Kevin, and 10-year-old chihuahua rescue, Ruby.
