First Presbyterian Church has a long history of using our beautiful property to encourage playfulness and relational connection to enhance faith development in people of all ages.
During the soccer season, we will host seven Saturday game days. All games will be held on the FPC campus between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday game days.
We monitor the weather and field conditions closely leading up to each game. If conditions are determined to be unsafe, all parents and coaches will be contacted via text message/email if the game or games need to be canceled. On game day, we notify everyone via text message as well as blowing an airhorn to signal everyone to go back to their vehicles. We do everything possible to be able to play, but if there is severe weather or heavy rain, we will cancel. Individual games can be made up among teams during their practice times on weekdays, but entire Saturdays will not be rescheduled.
Season schedules can be viewed on either your coach's portal or team page.
Parents are essential in creating a positive environment by showing respect to referees, coaches, players, and promoting good sportsmanship. Please familiarize yourself with our expectations for parents and families.
MyUpward.org
We are excited to use the MyUpward portal this year. You can find your team rosters, contact parents, share your team page, view schedules, plan practices, and create game day subbing plans from the portal. Please note: The rules in the system are Upward’s defaults. Please refer to our Coaches Manual for the current set of league-specific rules.

For quick reference, please refer to the Coaches Manual for details on our league-specific rules, trophies, and more.
Coaches Meeting
Tuesday, March 18 | 6:00 p.m. | Zoom
We strongly encourage you to attend our Coaches’ Meeting via Zoom, where we’ll cover everything you need to know before the first game on Saturday, March 29.
Jersey Pickup
March 17-19 | 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
We are facilitating our jersey pickups through the downstairs Recreation Office near Oak Hills School gym. Once there, you will find a set of stairs (and a sign which says Recreation Office); go up the stairs and through the first set of doors. Immediately to your right, there will be a bank teller’s window where a member of our team can get your name and bring your team’s jerseys to you.
Jerseys will be available for pickup from that office March 17-19 from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. They will not be available at the Front Desk of the church. Further, for those wishing to simply pick their team jerseys on the first Saturday of games, you will still be able to do so at the Cannon Center, like usual.
All jerseys must be picked up by coaches as these are the issued jerseys from our league and are required to be worn. Any other custom jerseys (outside of customizing last names on the back of our jerseys) are not allowed. There will be space on the back of each jersey to still be able to put players names as you see fit.
Practices on FPC Campus
Practices on FPC campus will begin March 24th. We are not able to let any teams start early due to field maintenance. If you requested to use our fields you can find your practice time and location on your upward coaches portal.
Campus Construction & New Field Locations
Construction at FPC will continue throughout the Spring season as Oak Hill School builds a new track and field on the former Upper Fields (1st & 2nd Grade fields). This has required changes to field locations and parking. The assignments are below. Please refer to the 2025 Spring Soccer Field Locations.
Traffic & Safety
With four different areas in use on the church campus, please be mindful of new traffic patterns. We've worked to improve parking safety for children and families walking to and from games. The map includes arrows indicating the flow of traffic. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes. A lot of planning and effort has gone into ensuring the season runs smoothly.

First Presbyterian Church has a long history of using our beautiful property to encourage playfulness and relational connection to enhance faith development in people of all ages. The act of playing together can teach us many things about ourselves, our neighbors, and our creator. Athletics can be a beautiful vehicle for growth and discipleship. Because of this, we believe children’s soccer is an important part of our mission here at First Presbyterian.
