Nicene Creed Sermon Series PN

Nicene Creed

After the Bible, the Nicene Creed—written in the 4th century—may be the most important Christian text ever composed. As the most widely used statement of faith in church history, it captures the essence of the Gospel: the triune love of God for us and for our salvation. As we mark its 1700th anniversary, we will weave it into worship each week by affirming it together and exploring its significance for our congregation and the wider church.

Founded in 1814, First Presbyterian was born by grace. We are an outpost of the kingdom, called to glorify the Triune God, to make known the crucified and risen Christ, and to advance the gospel of God’s free and redeeming grace. Whether you are a long-time member or are new to First Presbyterian, we would love to help you find ways to get more connected.
