Dr. Rusty Douglas

Dr. Rusty Douglas served as Senior Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian of Nashville from 1989–1993. In this role, he preached monthly, coordinated the nursery, children, youth, and adult education staff, taught the Bethel Bible Series, conducted officer training, and organized the initial Mexico mission trip. He also served at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, MS, for 22 years. Upon his retirement, FPC Greenwood named him Pastor Emeritus. Rusty and his wife, Betty, retired to Montreat, NC, in 2020. They have two children and three grandchildren. Rusty still enjoys playing golf, is reading through John Calvin’s commentaries in retirement, and serves on the board of the Presbyterian Heritage Center in Montreat.
