Director of Early Preschool

We are now accepting applications for the Director of Early Preschool, a weekday ministry for children ages 18 months through 5 years serving approximately 90 students from 80 families with a staff of 22. We are seeking a dynamic, thoughtful, and visionary leader to serve as its Director and to build upon our current success.

The ideal candidate would align with the Early Preschool’s values, where all are seen as unique children of God. God’s person for this role will confess Christ preeminent in all things (Colossians 1:18) and will live a life reflecting the Lordship of Christ. The candidate will possess the right competencies and initiative to lead with excellence, and is someone who desires, above all else, to sow seeds of faith and trust in these young and precious lives. This candidate would also align with the mission of the Early Preschool, which is to support the development of children socially and emotionally into life-long learners, and to create a community where children, families, and relationships are respected, nurtured, and highly esteemed.

The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated track records of success in 1) early childhood development and education; 2) parent communication and satisfaction; and 3) operational excellence. Either a minimum of three years of experience as a Director of an NAEYC accredited program, or a minimum of a combined five years as a lead teacher or Assistant Director in a NAEYC accredited Early Childhood program is preferred.

Program Assistant for Children & Families Ministry

The Children and Families department is searching for a part time program assistant working between 20-25 hours weekly, days negotiable. Someone with a passion for progressing the use of technology as a way to care for people, who has proficiency with large databases, Microsoft office suite products, Adobe, Mailchimp and WordPress. This person will be supporting the Children’s Director and staff and the Early Preschool Director and staff. Needs to be proactive with learning new technologies/updates and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people of all age levels; including children, volunteers we serve and other staff members. Other preferred traits: organized, efficient with time management, creative, the ability to inventory and order supplies weekly, and basic graphic design.

Recreation Site Assistant

We are now accepting applications for multiple Part-time Recreation Site Assistants; these employees provide oversight and care of Recreation facilities during guest utilization and rentals. Facilities include gymnasiums, Enrichment Center, Don Wade Pool, and the campus athletic fields. Responsibilities include assisting guests, maintaining a safe & fun environment, as well as set up/cleanup/tear down of site areas.

Director of Resource Development

We are now accepting applications for a Director of Resource Development.  Working under the direction of the Pastor / Head of Staff, the Director is responsible for advancing the ministry and mission of First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, “To know Christ, to make Him known, and to exhibit His love through worship, education and service.” The Director’s focus is the development of members’ financial support in the areas of annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and endowment growth.  The Director is the primary staff resource member for, and provides leadership and direction to, the Generosity/Stewardship Committee and the Endowment Committee. The Early Preschool at First Presbyterian Church Nashville

We are now accepting applications for part-time Early Childhood Educators for the 2021/2022 school year. Experience with and knowledge of NAEYC standards, TN Stars Assessment, Handwriting Without Tears, and Emergent Curriculum is desired. Teaching positions are 5 days/week, school year position, 8:30 A.M. – 2:45 P.M.
