Executive Director

Under the general supervision of the Pastor/Head of Staff, the Executive Director coordinates the implementation and execution of the Pastor’s vision for FPC and is responsible to coach, develop, and shepherd a highly professional team who embodies the vision/mission of FPC. The Director shall ensure excellence in stewardship of all human and financial resources, working closely with the Pastor/Head of Staff and ordained leadership to implement FPC’s overall strategic plan. Administrative Assistant

This position provides administrative support to the Executive Director and the Director of Resource Development. This position is responsible for correspondence, recordkeeping and phones for these two roles. Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively establish task priorities are essential for this position.

Athletic Director

The First Presbyterian Church family is looking for an athletic director to help us create a new vision for our recreational athletic ministry. For many years, our beautiful property has been the spot of many athletic endeavors. Our desire as a family of faith is to help these recreational sports to become more layered with the mission of the gospel. The person we seek to assume this role is someone who has been deeply affected by sports and knows the opportunities sports provide to influence kids and communities. This person likes to build teams, to create new things, and finds joy in creating a new vision and plans. This role on our church staff requires the director to get involved in all the details and understand each component of athletic ministry as they help bring a new vision for athletic opportunities to this community. The person considering this opportunity for ministry feels called by God to help young people and families experience more of who God is when they play together on athletic fields. We believe this person is somewhere in our midst, and we are prayerfully seeking the one who might feel called to this unique role. Director of Youth Programming

The Ministry with Youth is a vibrant and vital program within the life of First Presbyterian Church. This ministry oversees the daily operations of Christian formation and youth activities for approximately 300 children in grades 7-12. It seeks a dynamic, thoughtful, and visionary leader to serve as its Director and to build upon its current success.

The ideal candidate aligns with values of our church and would infuse creativity and energy in building upon our current youth ministry foundation. God’s person for this role will confess Christ preeminent in all things (Colossians 1:18) and will live a life reflecting the Lordship of Christ. The Director shall possess the right competencies and initiative to lead with excellence, and is someone who desires, above all else, to sow seeds of faith and trust in these young lives.

Interim Assistant Youth Director

Through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, God pursues all of humanity in reconciled relationship. Modeled after God’s passionate pursuit, the FPC youth mission statement begins “ Led by the Holy Spirit and in partnership with families the youth ministry First Presbyterian Church exist to engage 100% of the youth under its care”. The youth director accomplishes that mission by providing day-to-day leadership and support for the FPC Youth Ministry. They work with young adults, youth, parents, staff and volunteers to implement a thriving, healthy youth ministry program that expands the participation of FPC youth and their families in the greater worship and mission life of the church.

Graphic Designer/Creative Coordinator

First Presbyterian Church is seeking a full-time Creative Coordinator to join the Communications Ministry. This position supports the ministry by designing print and digital collateral that advances and strengthen the Church’s mission “to know Christ, to make Him known, and to exhibit His love through worship, education and service.” This position is also responsible for managing the specific communications needs of ministry program areas as we seek to be an outpost of Christ’s kingdom. Qualified candidates should be skilled in creating Gospel-centered visual and creative content, have 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, and be proactive in learning and using technology related to the position.

Communications Manager

First Presbyterian Church is seeking a full-time Communications Manager to join the Communications Ministry. The primary function of this role is to tell the stories of how the congregation lives out the Church’s mission “to know Christ, to make Him known, and to exhibit His love through worship, education and service.” This position supports the communications of First Presbyterian Church by managing the development and production of church-wide print and digital publications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly magazines, weekly email newsletters and the Church website. This position is also responsible for managing the specific communications needs of ministry program areas as we seek to be an outpost of Christ’s kingdom. Qualified candidates should be skilled in creating Gospel-centered content, have 3-5 years of communications experience in writing and editing, have excellent English usage and verbal communication skills, knowledge of content management systems, and be proactive in learning and using technology related to the position.

Nursery Attendants

FPC’s nursery is short-staffed at present and seeking part-time nursery attendants to assist on Sunday mornings (without whom it may be necessary to turn families away). If you know anyone who might be interested in working in the nursery, please encourage them to apply. The Early Preschool at First Presbyterian Church Nashville

The Early Preschool is now accepting applications for part-time Early Childhood Educators for the 2022/2023 school year. Experience with, and knowledge of, early childhood education, NAEYC standards, DHS regulations and Emergent Curriculum is desired. We operate on a school year calendar, are NAEYC accredited, and offer a competitive salary.
