Positions Currently Available:
Director of Recreation
With a membership of nearly 4400 members and on a campus of more than 60 acres the First Presbyterian Church operates a year round recreation program with an annual budget of more than $500,000 including the Oak Hill Day Camp, fall and spring soccer, and children’s and adult men’s basketball. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Recreation Department including direct supervision of the Sports’ Coordinator and the Office Manager. Additionally, the Director is responsible for the operation of Oak Hill Day Camp (ACA accredited) during summer months and some holidays. The Director is responsible for hiring of all staff, administration of the budget, and maintaining ACA standards. A bachelor’s degree in recreational administration with five years of experience is preferred. A complete job description can be sent upon request.
We are looking for a part-time photographer to help take professional photos of various events that happen throughout the different ministries of our church. These events can fall during week days, week nights, Sunday mornings, and even on some church holidays. The responsibilities would not exceed five hours per week.
Assistant Director of The Early Preschool
The Early Preschool is a part-time, school year program with children ages 18 months to 5 years enrolled. We have a fun work environment and competitive wages. Work hours are 8:00-2:30 P.M. on days that the preschool is in session. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an NAEYC accredited preschool program. A degree in Early Childhood Education and classroom experience is preferred.
Early Preschool Teachers
We are looking for teachers with experience with emergent philosophy and knowledge of NAEYC standards, Handwriting Without Tears, and Creative Curriculum. Interested candidates must meet the following qualifications: minimum BA in Early Childhood Education or Special Education and a minimum of one year experience working with children 18 months – 5 years.
