CM Preteen Bible
4th & 5th Grade

Preteens

At this age, preteens are trying to determine how their faith applies to their lives. Children’s Ministry seeks to partner alongside parents as we answer life’s big questions and lay the foundation for a lifetime of knowing and loving God.

Preteen Sunday School

Preteen Sunday School occurs during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 a.m.) in the C-Wing of Oak Hill School by the gym. Preteen Sunday School uses The Gospel Project curriculum, which tells God’s unfolding story of redemption throughout the Bible and aims to help kids better understand God’s character and his invitation into a loving, personal relationship with himself.

Preteen Sunday School follows a discussion-based model. Kids enjoy fellowship and games before reading and discussing Scripture together. Leaders use engaging study methods that help equip preteens to study the Bible for the rest of their lives.

Children in 4th and 5th grade can check themselves in and out of Sunday School.

Preteen Parties

We offer several preteen parties throughout the year. By having fun together, children develop deeper friendships with other children of faith and start to enjoy the benefits of Christian community.

Once children begin 6th grade, they will begin the Confirmation journey.

Worship with us Sunday at 8:30 or 11:00 a.m.

Founded in 1814, First Presbyterian was born by grace. We are an outpost of the kingdom, called to glorify the Triune God, to make known the crucified and risen Christ, and to advance the gospel of God’s free and redeeming grace. Whether you are a long-time member or are new to First Presbyterian, we would love to help you find ways to get more connected.
