Nursery

Nursery age group is so much more than childcare during services and Sunday School. Even at the littlest ages, we begin teaching basic concepts of the faith in a developmentally appropriate way.

Parents check in their nursery-age children at the Children's Ministry Lobby on the lower level of the ministry wing and then walk their child to the designated room. Nursery classes are divided by developmental stages and age groups. Read more below.
Birth–12 months

Infants & Crawlers

This age group includes newborns and babies who have not yet learned to walk.

This age group includes newborns and babies who have not yet learned to walk. The caring staff create a calm, safe and loving environment for babies, and the classroom is equipped for crawling babies to explore developmentally appropriate toys. Directly beside the infant classroom we offer a dark and quiet nap room with multiple cribs. Nursery staff are happy to offer babies a bottle from home when they need to eat. It’s a great place to eat, sleep or play—the things they do best at this age! Once your little one has celebrated their first birthday and is steady on their feet, they can move to the next room.

Twice a year, we host a New Baby Reception for families with a new addition. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents, connect with Children's Ministry staff, and find helpful resources about faith formation for the littlest ones.

This is often the age that children are baptized. Learn more and request a Baptism here.

12–24 months

Walkers & Toddlers

This age group includes little ones who have celebrated their first birthday and are steady on their feet.

The classroom is set up for toddlers who are mobile and ready to explore. Young toddlers are also welcome to use the nap room if needed. The goal for this age group is to know that God made them and loves them. They enjoy a simple Bible lesson and music that mirror what older children in the ministry are learning. Once your child celebrates their second birthday, they can move to the next room.

Ages 2 & 3

2-3 Year Olds

This age group includes children who are two and three years old.

At this age, children start asking lots of questions about life and the world as they understand it. This is a great time to start learning more specific concepts of the faith while still remaining developmentally appropriate. The learning experience for 2s and 3s includes a Bible lesson, music, and activities that mirror what older children in the ministry are learning. Once your child celebrates their fourth birthday, they are invited to join the PreK and Kindergarten age group.
